Julien Doré Tour

Music, motion and a touch of the surreal: For a year, giant helium-lifted whales and dolphins drifted through the arenas of Julien Doré’s tour across France, Belgium and Switzerland, turning ordinary concert halls into an underwater world night after night.

The Art of Lightness

Behind the illusion lies a careful balance of engineering and design. Built to be exceptionally lightweight, the whales and dolphins move with a natural grace that belies their scale. Their gentle flight above the audience creates a moment of wonder that feels effortless, yet is the result of meticulous design. Airstage accompanied the tour through all 75 shows, solidifying the whale as its recognisable emblem.

Beyond the Stage

Set within a visually striking show full of deep-sea scenes, tropical forests and surreal costume worlds, the floating whales and dolphins were among the most memorable images of the entire tour. In arenas holding up to 20,000 spectators, such as the Accor Arena in Paris, they drifted directly above the audience, extending the show into the crowd space.
