House of the Dragon

For the global launch of “House of the Dragon” Season 3, the concept of billboards was replaced by a full-scale replica of Syrax taking flight in the skies of London. Watched by key cast members and digital creators, the spectacle sparked widespread interest and enthusiasm all across social media.

3,000 hours invested

The model has an eight-meter wingspan and weighs 13kg, built around a carbon fiber skeleton with a vacuum-formed lightweight foam skin and hand-finished airbrushed detailing. To achieve realistic movement, the dragon features 23 individually controlled moving parts. Construction required nearly 3,000 hours over three months, with production scans from the show used as the basis for the design, making the dragon one of Airstage’s most intricate flying models.

Outstanding skyline

The flight took place directly above the Tower of London. Syrax soared gracefully over the River Thames, with Tower Bridge and The Shard visible in the background and the City of London skyline framing the scene. The location was chosen to create a visual contrast between the medieval architecture of the Tower and the modern city, placing a fantasy creature at the center of one of the world’s most recognisable urban skylines.
